The Naked Architect is now live !! Open House Melbourne have posted the full presentations of #thenakedarchitect series, incuding our full 1 hour presentation ‘Stages of the Design Process’, held live at the case study venue Avenue Apartment, the 5-Stair rated apartment in Albert Park, together with the client and the irrepressible chair.
One of a series of talks, the Naked Architect series, a collaboration with Open House Melbourne and Architeam is an ongoing series aimed at informing potential clients of everything-architect, from the benefits of appointing an architect, briefing, cost management, the design process and even how to be a good client.
Our session as the name suggests, focussed on the stages of the design process. These can vary between practices and details, however most architectural design processes will follow a similar structure. And most will have a method of cost management to help keep the magic of the design alive whilst balancing the inevitable constraints of the budget.
Watch this thrilling and informative session here. And to see our little film of the Avenue Apartment, one of the few 5-Star-rated AirBnB apartments in Melbourne (yes you too could stay here) watch it on our Vimeo page here.
Want to know more? “Our stages of work – mcmahon and nerlich” handy flyer will be available soon from the useful downloads section of our website. This is a quick guide that outlines our stages of work and explains what architects actually do! If you are impatient contact us using the form and we will email it to you.
We love all the stages of designing – and we love meeting interesting new clients and fresh new projects. Special thanks go to Open House Melbourne and Architeam for the support and pleasure of presenting at The Naked Architect.
